I actually am starting to have hope again for next season. In turn that kind of depresses me

The thing that gives me the greatest hope of this team is that, for the most part, they seem to have shaken off the habit of giving up late goals. I'm not exactly sure who to credit for that, but at the very least, they're not having communication breakdowns late in the game.
On the flip side, it would be nice to seem them score late goals as well.

They've gotten over the ridiculous late goal syndrome they used to have, the defense has had some time together now and keeps improving (Henry improved a LOT this past year), their midfield with Laba, Osorio, and Rey, those are all good or very good players (DeRo would be good at the right price too). If you look at a team like Montreal, they did terribly defensively this past season but DiVaio dragged them to the playoffs. Defoe + Gilardino could very well drag Toronto to the playoffs.

They need to upgrade Bloom at RB. He was terrible last year and should be at best an emergency sub. Having Dero/Convey on the left wing is going to force Morgan to improve his defensive abilities quickly or lose his spot again. Personally I'd rather see only one player (Laba) sitting in front of the back 4, allowing Osorio (or Dero or whoever) to give the backs an option, other than a 50yd long ball, to get the ball to the strikers. Laba is good enough to handle it. Also, I really hope Osorio progresses this year, no homegrown talent who has had a breakout year has continued improving beyond year 1 yet. For Osorio to progress in this lineup it might mean he is going to have to learn to play every midfield position to maximize his playing time. Could be the best thing for him, would love to see him as a Will Johnson type player in a couple years.
